  • teaspoon pepper black
  • teaspoon basil dried
  • 0.5 cup breadcrumbs dry
  • large eggs lightly beaten
  • tablespoons parsley fresh chopped
  •  garlic clove minced
  • 1.3 pounds pd of ground turkey dark light ( and meat)
  • 14 ounce less-sodium beef broth fat-free divided canned
  • 0.3 cup milk 1% low-fat
  • teaspoon oregano dried
  • ounce parmesan cheese fresh grated
  • 1.5 ounces parmesan cheese fresh shredded
  • 10 ounces penne pasta uncooked
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • 26 ounce tomato and basil pasta sauce

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 45
  2. Combine first 10 ingredients in a large bowl.
  3. Add 1/4 cup broth to mixture; stir well. Crumble turkey over breadcrumb mixture, mixing with hands just until blended. Shape mixture into 24 (1-inch) meatballs. Arrange meatballs in a single layer on a jelly-roll pan coated with cooking spray.
  4. Pour remaining beef broth into pan.
  5. Bake at 450 for 25 minutes or until done. Discard broth.
  6. Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package directions, omitting salt and fat.
  7. Heat pasta sauce in a saucepan over medium-high heat until thoroughly heated.
  8. Serve meatballs and sauce over pasta.
  9. Sprinkle each serving with shredded Parmesan cheese.
