  • 0.5 teaspoon pepper black freshly ground
  • cup tomatoes diced canned drained
  • 0.3 cup flat-leaf parsley fresh divided chopped
  • 0.1 teaspoon ground allspice 
  • 0.3 teaspoon ground cumin 
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground pepper red
  • 0.5 pound pd of ground turkey lean
  • 0.3 cup yogurt plain low-fat
  • tablespoon olive oil 
  • 4-inch pitas ()
  • 1.5 teaspoons pomegranate molasses 
  • 0.5 cup bell pepper red chopped
  • 0.8 cup onion red chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • tablespoon tomato paste

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 45
  2. Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add onion and bell pepper; cook 2 minutes or until tender.
  4. Add turkey; cook 3 minutes.
  5. Add tomato, 2 tablespoons parsley, tomato paste, and next 3 ingredients (through allspice) to pan; reduce heat to medium. Cook 5 minutes or until liquid almost evaporates.
  6. Place pitas on a baking sheet.
  7. Combine low-fat yogurt, salt, black pepper, and red pepper in a small bowl; spread evenly over pitas. Divide turkey mixture evenly over pitas; sprinkle evenly with remaining 2 tablespoons parsley.
  8. Bake at 450 for 5 minutes; serve immediately.
