  • 0.3 cup brown sugar packed
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar packed
  • tablespoons butter chilled cut into small pieces
  • large egg whites 
  • ounce flour all-purpose
  • 0.3 teaspoon ground allspice 
  • 0.3 teaspoon ground cinnamon 
  • 1.5 teaspoons ground cinnamon 
  • teaspoon ground nutmeg 
  • 0.5 cup hazelnuts toasted chopped
  • tablespoon orange juice fresh
  • teaspoon orange rind grated
  • teaspoon salt 
  • 87 ounce sweet potatoes halved drained canned

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 40
  2. Combine first 8 ingredients in a large bowl; mash well. Beat egg whites with a mixer at high speed until stiff peaks form. Gently fold beaten egg whites into sweet potato mixture. Spoon mixture into a shallow 3-quart baking dish coated with cooking spray.
  3. Combine hazelnuts and next 3 ingredients (through 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon) in a bowl.
  4. Cut in butter with a fork until mixture is crumbly.
  5. Sprinkle over sweet potato mixture.
  6. Bake at 400 for 25 minutes or until topping is lightly browned.
