Ingredients

  • ounces angel hair pasta 
  • cups broccoli florets 
  • tablespoons basil fresh chopped
  •  garlic clove minced
  • teaspoons olive oil 
  • tablespoons parsley fresh italian chopped
  • 0.5 cup butter unsalted european-style room temperature (1 stick)

Directions

  1. Mix first 4 ingredients in small bowl.
  2. Bring large pot of salted water to boil.
  3. Add 2 teaspoons olive oil.
  4. Add pasta and cook until almost tender, about 3 minutes.
  5. Add broccoli and boil until pasta is tender but still firm to bite and broccoli is crisp-tender, about 1 minute longer.
  6. Drain pasta and broccoli; transfer to large serving bowl.
  7. Add herb butter and toss well to coat. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  8. Serve, passing Parmesan cheese separately if desired.
