Ingredients
- 2.5 ounce bacon pieces cooked (such as Hormel)
- 4 garlic cloves minced
- 1.3 cups grape tomatoes halved
- 8 ounces pasta uncooked
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- 0.5 cup onion chopped
- 1 teaspoon oregano dried
- 1 ounce preshredded parmesan cheese fresh
- 0.3 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt

- Cook pasta according to package directions, omitting salt and fat.
- Drain, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water.
- Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add onion; saut 2 minutes.
- Add bacon bits; saut 2 minutes.
- Add tomato, garlic, and oregano; saut 30 seconds.
- Remove from heat.
- Add pasta, reserved pasta water, salt, and pepper. Stir well, and cook 1 minute or until thoroughly heated and liquid is absorbed.
- Remove from heat; cover and let stand 3 minutes.
- Sprinkle with cheese.
