  • 2.3 pounds broccolini ( 4 bunches)
  • tablespoons butter ()
  • 10 servings coarse kosher salt 
  •  garlic clove chopped
  • 0.5 cup pecans toasted coarsely chopped
  • 0.3 cup shallots finely chopped ( 2 medium)

Directions

  1. Bring large pot of salted water to boil.
  2. Add broccolini; stir to separate and cook2 minutes.
  3. Drain.
  4. Transfer broccolini topaper towels to drain. Cool. DO AHEAD: Can be made 1 day ahead. Wrap broccoliniin several layers of clean paper towels;enclose in resealable plastic bag and chill.
  5. Melt butter in extra-large skillet overmedium heat.
  6. Add shallots and garlic, thenpecans; sauté until shallots are soft, about3 minutes. Increase heat to medium-high;stir constantly until butter is browned andpecans are aromatic, about 3 minutes.
  7. Addbroccolini to skillet and toss gently untilheated through, about 7 minutes. Season totaste with coarse salt and pepper.
  8. Transferto platter and serve.
