Ingredients

  • ounces size butterfinger candy bars chopped
  • cup cup heavy whipping cream 
  • halves peanuts unsalted chopped
  • 10 ounces bittersweet chocolate 61% chopped (do not exceed cacao)
  • tablespoon butter unsalted
  • teaspoons cocoa powder unsweetened

Equipment

Directions

  1. Place chocolate and butter in a mediumbowl. Bring cream to a boil in a smallsaucepan; pour hot cream over chocolatemixture.
  2. Let stand for 1 minute, then stir untilchocolate is melted and mixture is smooth.Stir in chopped candy. Cover and chill untilfirm, about 2 hours.
  3. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil.Using a melon baller, scoop 3/4" balls (orheaping teaspoonfuls) from chocolatemixture.
  4. Roll truffles between your palmsto make surface smooth.
  5. Place on theprepared sheet.
  6. Place cocoa powder in a small bowl.
  7. Roll truffles in cocoa powder to coat.
  8. Garnish with chopped peanuts or peanuthalves. Chill until firm. DO AHEAD: Can bemade 1 day ahead. Store airtight betweensheets of waxed paper. Keep chilled.
