Ingredients

  • 0.3 cup brown sugar 
  • 0.3 cup butter 
  • 3 tablespoons mrs richardson's butterscotch caramel sauce prepared
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch argo®
  • 1 9-inch unbaked deep dish pie crust 
  • 0.5 cup flour 
  • 5  granny smith apples cored peeled if desired
  • 1 tablespoon juice of lemon 
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice spice islands®
  • 1 teaspoon imitation rum flavoring 
  • 0.5 cup sugar

Directions

  1. Mix sugar, pumpkin pie spice and corn starch in a large bowl.
  2. Cut apples into 1/4-inch thick slices and place in a separate bowl.
  3. Sprinkle apples with lemon juice and rum; add to dry ingredients. Stir to combine.
  4. Place in piecrust. Dot with 2 tablespoons of butter.
  5. Drizzle with caramel sauce.
  6. Stir flour and brown sugar together in small bowl.
  7. Cut in 1/4 cup butter until mixture resembles coarse meal.
  8. Sprinkle evenly over top of pie.
  9. Bake in a preheated 400 degrees F oven for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F and bake an additional 40 to 50 minutes, until golden brown. Delicious when served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
