  • tablespoons juice of lime fresh ()
  •  serrano chiles halved seeded
  • 0.5 pound tomatillos dry husked rinsed
  • 0.5 large onion white cut into 8 wedges

Directions

  1. Preheat broiler.
  2. Place tomatillos, onion,and jalapeño on a foil-lined rimmed bakingsheet. Broil, turning halfway through, untilblistered, 12-15 minutes.
  3. Let cool.
  4. Transfer tomatillo mixture to a blender,add 2 tablespoons lime juice, and pulse until achunky purée forms. Season with salt andmore lime juice, if desired. DO AHEAD: Salsacan be made 3 days ahead. Cover; chill.
