Ingredients

  • drops peppermint oil 
  • 0.3 cup light-colored corn syrup 
  • ounces bittersweet chocolate chopped
  • cup sugar 
  • 0.3 cup cocoa unsweetened
  • cups water

Directions

  1. Combine the first 3 ingredients in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil. Cook 2 minutes or until sugar dissolves, stirring frequently.
  2. Place the cocoa and chocolate in a medium bowl.

  4. Pour mixture into the freezer can of an ice-cream freezer; freeze according to manufacturer's instructions. Spoon sorbet into a freezer-safe container; cover and freeze 4 hours or until firm.
