Ingredients

  • servings pepper black freshly ground
  • tablespoons butter 
  • tablespoons basil fresh chopped
  • cloves garlic finely chopped
  • oz cheese blue crumbled
  • tablespoons olive oil 
  • 0.5 cup panko bread crumbs crispy italian
  • 0.3 cup parmesan grated
  • 17 oz polenta plain refrigerated
  • 1.5 cups whipping cream

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350F. Spray 17x12-inch half-sheet pan with cooking spray.
  2. In 1 1/2-quart saucepan, cook oil, butter and garlic over medium-high heat 2 to 3 minutes or until garlic is transparent (do not let garlic burn).
  3. Add whipping cream; heat to a slight simmer. Stir in Gorgonzola cheese until melted. Stir in pecorino-Romano cheese.
  4. Remove from heat.
  5. Cut polenta into 1/2-inch-thick slices. Arrange slices in pan. Ladle cheese sauce evenly over polenta; sprinkle with pepper.
  6. Sprinkle bread crumbs evenly over top.
  7. Bake uncovered about 15 minutes.
  8. Set oven control to broil. Broil 2 to 3 minutes or until top is golden brown.
  9. Garnish with basil.
  10. Serve warm.
