  • 0.3 teaspoon fish sauce 
  • 0.5  cucumber seedless halved lengthwise thinly sliced (often plastic-wrapped)
  • 0.5 cup cilantro leaves fresh coarsely chopped
  • 0.3 cup mint leaves fresh coarsely chopped
  • large garlic clove 
  • inch jalapeno fresh minced
  • tablespoons juice of lime fresh
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt 
  • tablespoon sugar 
  • medium tomatoes cut into 1/2-inch-thick wedges (1 lb total)
  • tablespoons vegetable oil

Directions
