Ingredients

  • tablespoon double-acting baking powder 
  • tablespoon butter 
  • cups flour all-purpose
  • tablespoon parsley dried fresh minced
  • 12  hot dogs 
  • 0.8 cup milk 
  • tablespoons parmesan cheese grated
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • 0.5 cup shortening

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt.
  2. Cut in shortening until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in milk just until moistened.
  3. Turn onto a floured surface; knead 10-12 times.
  4. Roll into a 13-in. circle.
  5. Brush with butter; sprinkle with cheese and parsley.
  6. Cut into 12 wedges.
  7. Place hot dogs at wide end of wedges and roll up.
  8. Place on an ungreased baking sheet with point down.
  9. Bake at 425° for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
