  •  chicken 
  • tablespoons kosher salt 
  •  garlic clove pressed
  • tablespoons olive oil extra virgin extra-virgin
  • large onion peeled cut into 16 wedges

Directions

  1. Combine garlic, salt, olive oil, and Chinesefive-spice powder in large bowl.
  2. Addchicken pieces; turn to coat. Cover andchill at least 1 hour or overnight.Preheat oven to 425°F. Arrange onionwedges in 13x9x2-inch roasting pan.
  3. Arrange chicken, skin side up, atop onions.Roast until chicken is cooked through,basting occasionally with pan juices, about50 minutes.
  4. Remove chicken from oven andlet rest 10 minutes. Arrange chicken andonions on platter and serve.
