Ingredients

  •  cucumber peeled halved lengthwise sliced
  • 0.3 teaspoon cumin 
  • 0.5 cup feta cheese crumbled
  • cloves garlic finely chopped
  • servings pepper black freshly ground
  • tablespoons juice of lemon fresh
  • 0.3 cup mint leaves fresh
  • tablespoon olive oil 
  • servings olive oil for brushing
  • tablespoons oregano fresh finely chopped
  • cup yogurt plain drained fine
  •  onion red peeled sliced
  • tablespoons tahini

Directions

  1. Whisk the yogurt, mint, lemon juice, tahini, olive oil, cumin and garlic in a medium bowl and season with salt and pepper.
  2. For the salad: Preheat the grill.
  3. Brush both sides of the onion slices with olive oil and season with salt and pepper to taste. Grill on each side for 2 to 3 minutes, just to obtain grill marks and cook slightly.
  4. Remove from the grill and coarsely chop.
  5. Add the onions, oregano and cucumber to the dressing and toss to coat. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Sprinkle with the feta.
