Ingredients

  • pounds ground beef lean
  • cup breadcrumbs dry (any flavor)
  • 0.7 cup onion finely chopped
  • 0.5 cup milk 
  • tablespoons parsley fresh chopped
  • teaspoons salt 
  • teaspoon worcestershire sauce 
  • 0.1 teaspoon pepper 
  •  eggs 
  • 24 ounces chili sauce 
  • 20 ounces grape jelly 

Equipment

  • toothpicks
  • dutch oven
  • broiler pan

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 400°F. Stir together all ingredients except chili sauce and jelly. Shape into 1-inch meatballs.
  2. Place in ungreased retangular pan, 13x9x2 inches, or on rack in broiler pan.
  3. Bake uncovered about 20 minutes or until no longer pink in center and juice is clear.
  4. Heat chili sauce and jelly in Dutch oven over medium heat, stirring contantly, until jelly is melted. Stir in meatballs until coated. Simmer uncovered 30 minutes.
  5. Serve hot with toothpicks.
