  • 0.5 cup flour all-purpose

  • 0.1 teaspoon ground pepper white
  • 3.5 cups milk 
  • medium onion diced
  • 0.3 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • ounces cheddar cheese shredded
  • 0.3 pound turkey cooked thinly sliced
  • 12 slices sandwich bread

Directions

  1. Trim crusts from bread slices, and discard.
  2. Cut 6 bread slices in half diagonally.
  3. Place all bread on a baking sheet; broil 3 inches from heat (with electric oven door partially open) until golden, turning once.
  4. Arrange 1 whole and 2 half bread slices in a single layer in 6 lightly greased individual oval baking dishes.
  5. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium heat; add mushrooms, and saut 5 minutes.
  6. Drain and remove from skillet.
  7. Melt 1/2 cup butter in skillet over low heat; whisk in flour. Cook, whisking constantly, 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk; add onion, salt, and pepper. Cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, until thickened and bubbly.
  8. Add Cheddar cheese, stirring until melted.
  9. Pour half of sauce evenly over toast; top evenly with sliced ham, sliced turkey, mushrooms, and remaining sauce.
  10. Broil 5 inches from heat (with electric oven door partially open) until bubbly and lightly browned; remove from oven.
  11. Top each with 2 bacon slices,and sprinkle evenly with Parmesan cheese.
  12. Serve immediately.
