Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup cream cheese spread soft
  • 0.8 ounce basil fresh coarsely chopped
  • cloves garlic finely chopped
  • tablespoons juice of lemon fresh
  • 0.3 teaspoon lemon zest shredded
  • tablespoon olive oil 
  • 14.5 ounce hunt's® petite tomatoes diced undrained canned
  • ounces rotini pasta dry uncooked
  • pound chicken breasts boneless skinless cut into bite-size pieces
  • ounce hunt's® tomato sauce canned

Directions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions, omitting salt. Meanwhile, heat oil in large nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add chicken and garlic; cook 4 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink, stirring occasionally.
  3. Remove from skillet; keep warm.
  4. Stir together undrained tomatoes, tomato sauce and lemon juice in same skillet; bring to a boil.
  5. Add cream cheese; stir until cream cheese is melted completely. Simmer 2 to 3 minutes to thicken slightly.
  6. Drain pasta.
  7. Add to sauce in skillet; stir to coat. Stir in chicken, basil and lemon peel.
  8. Sprinkle with pepper, if desired.
