Ingredients

  • lb sirloin beef tips boneless trimmed of fat cut into 1-inch cubes
  • cup onion sliced ( 1 medium)
  • cup carrots sliced
  • 0.5 teaspoon lawry's seasoned salt 
  • 0.3 teaspoon pepper 
  • 1.5 cups mushrooms fresh sliced
  • 14 oz pasta sauce (any variety) ()
  • 4.7 oz roasted garlic mashed
  • serving potatoes for on potato mix pouch
  • tablespoons parmesan fresh shredded

Equipment

  • frying pan
  • oven
  • glass baking pan

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 375°F. Spray 2-quart casserole or 11x7-inch glass baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Heat 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add beef, onion and carrots to skillet; sprinkle with seasoned salt and pepper. Cook 3 to 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until beef is brown.
  4. Stir in mushrooms and pasta sauce.
  5. Heat to boiling. Cook over medium heat 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Spread in casserole.
  7. Make potatoes as directed on pouch using water, milk and butter. Spoon into 8 mounds around edge of hot beef mixture.
  8. Sprinkle cheese over all.
  9. Bake uncovered 25 to 30 minutes or until bubbly and potatoes are light golden brown.
