Ingredients

  • 28 ounce canned tomatoes crushed canned
  • ounce farfalle pasta uncooked (bow tie)
  • 0.5 pound mushrooms fresh sliced
  • 0.5 cup half-and-half 
  • 0.5 pound sausage sweet italian
  • 0.5 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 0.1 teaspoon pepper flakes red crushed
  • ounce roasted peppers red drained chopped
  • 0.5 cup vodka

Directions

  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.
  2. Place farfalle pasta in the pot, cook for 8 to 10 minutes, until al dente, and drain.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until evenly brown.
  4. Mix in the roasted red peppers, mushrooms, and vodka, and bring to a boil. Cook and stir 5 minutes, until most of the vodka has evaporated and mushrooms are tender.
  5. Mix the tomatoes, half-and-half, and red pepper into the skillet. Cover, reduce heat to low, and cook, stirring frequently, 15 minutes.
  6. Serve over the cooked pasta, and top with Parmesan cheese.
