Ingredients
- 0.3 cup asiago cheese shredded
- 0.3 teaspoon pepper black freshly ground
- 0.3 cup basil fresh chopped
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 8 ounce grape tomatoes halved lengthwise
- 8 ounces turkey sausage italian hot ( 2 sausages)
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 6 ounces penne pasta uncooked
- 0.3 teaspoon salt

Directions
- Cook pasta according to package directions, omitting salt and fat; drain and keep warm.
- While pasta cooks, heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat; coat pan with cooking spray.
- Add sausage, and cook 7 to 8 minutes or until browned, stirring to crumble. Set sausage aside. Wipe pan with a paper towel.
- Heat oil in pan over medium-high heat.
- Add garlic and onion; saut 3 to 4 minutes or just until tender.
- Add tomatoes, salt, and pepper, and saut 5 to 6 minutes or until tender.
- Return sausage to pan, and cook 1 minute or until thoroughly heated.
- Place pasta and turkey mixture in a large bowl; toss well. Spoon into individual serving bowls; sprinkle evenly with basil and cheese.
