Ingredients

  • 0.3 cup butter melted
  • 750 cream cheese softened
  •  eggs 
  • 16  maple syrup crushed finely
  • 0.8 cup maple syrup divided
  • tablespoons walnut pieces 
  • 0.3 cup walnut pieces finely chopped

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Combine crushed cookies, finely chopped walnuts and butter; press firmly onto bottom of 9 inch springform pan.
  3. Beat cream cheese and 1/2 cup of the maple syrup in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended.
  4. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing just until blended after each addition.
  5. Pour over crust.
  6. Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until centre is almost set. Cool completely. Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight.
  7. Drizzle with remaining 1/4 cup maple syrup just before serving.
  8. Sprinkle with walnut pieces. Store leftover cheesecake in refrigerator.
