Ingredients

  • tablespoon anchovy paste 
  • 0.3 cup butter 
  • teaspoon dijon mustard 
  • ounce bread french cut into cubes
  • clove garlic minced
  • 0.1 teaspoon hot sauce 
  • tablespoon juice of lemon 
  • 0.5 cup olive oil 
  • tablespoon olive oil 
  • 0.7 cup parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • 1.5 teaspoons cracked pepper 
  • tablespoon red wine vinegar 
  • cups torn romaine lettuce ( 1 large head)
  • teaspoon worcestershire sauce

Directions

  1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat; add 1 tablespoon olive oil.
  2. Add bread cubes, and saute 3 to 5 minutes or until golden.
  3. Remove croutons from skillet, and set aside.
  4. Combine lettuce, cheese, and pepper in a large bowl; toss well.
  5. Combine 1/2 cup olive oil and remaining ingredients in a jar; cover tightly, and shake vigorously to blend.
  6. Pour olive oil mixture over lettuce mixture; toss gently to coat.
  7. Add croutons, and toss gently.
  8. Serve immediately.
