Ingredients

  • 10.5 oz beans red drained and rinsed canned
  • 0.3 cup chili sauce 
  • tablespoons apple cider vinegar 
  • tablespoons flour all-purpose
  • cloves garlic minced
  • ounces pd of ground turkey lean
  •  hawaiian rolls whole-wheat
  •  jalapeno seeded finely chopped
  • 0.3 cup catsup 
  • large onion finely chopped
  •  plum tomatoes diced
  • cup refried beans fat-free
  • servings salt and pepper 
  • tablespoon vegetable oil 
  • tablespoon worcestershire sauce

Directions

  1. In a bowl, mix chili sauce, ketchup, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and 1/4 cup water. In a nonstick skillet, warm oil over medium heat.
  2. Add turkey, onion and jalapeo; cook, stirring and breaking up meat, until no longer pink, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add garlic; saut for 1 minute.
  4. Sprinkle flour on top and cook, stirring, for 2 minutes.
  5. Add ketchup mixture and tomatoes, reduce heat to medium-low and cook for 5 minutes, stirring.
  6. Add red and refried beans; cook for 5 minutes, stirring often. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Split and toast hamburger buns. Divide mixture among buns and serve immediately.
