  • ounce mushrooms drained canned
  • 30 ounce tomato sauce canned
  • tablespoons basil dried
  • cloves garlic chopped
  • pounds ground beef 
  • tablespoons olive oil 
  •  onion chopped
  • tablespoons oregano dried
  • tablespoons pepper red
  • tablespoons salt 
  • tablespoons sugar 
  • 12 ounce canned tomatoes canned
  • teaspoons worcestershire sauce

Directions

  1. In a large pot heat olive oil.
  2. Add onions and simmer on medium heat until semi soft; stir in garlic. Be careful not to burn.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until all pink is gone; drain.
  4. In pot with drained beef, gently stir in tomato paste and tomato sauce.
  5. Mix in oregano, basil, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, red pepper flakes, mushrooms, bay leaves and salt; bring to a boil. Turn heat down to low and simmer for about 2 hours.
