Ingredients

  • tablespoon mint leaves fresh chopped
  •  garlic cloves minced
  • tablespoon olive oil 
  • 0.5 teaspoon pepper freshly ground
  • pounds plum tomatoes seeded chopped
  • 0.3 cup romano cheese grated
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • 12 ounces pasta like spaghetti uncooked
  • teaspoons sugar

Directions

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package directions, omitting salt and oil.
  2. Drain and set aside.
  3. Saut garlic in hot oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat 1 minute.
  4. Add tomatoes, and cook, stirring occasionally, 12 to 15 minutes or until sauce is thickened and chunky.
  5. Remove from heat, and stir in sugar, salt, and pepper.
  6. Add cooked spaghetti and mint to sauce in skillet, tossing to coat.
  7. Sprinkle with cheese.
