  • 14.5 oz tomatoes diced canned
  • oz bottled clam juice 
  • pounds clams rinsed scrubbed
  • 0.3 cup flat parsley chopped
  • tablespoons garlic chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon kosher salt 
  • ounces pasta 
  • tablespoons olive oil 
  • servings parmesan 
  • 0.3 teaspoon pepper 
  • 0.5 tsp pepper red

Directions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions.
  2. Meanwhile, heat oil in a large, wide pot over medium-high heat.
  3. Add garlic and chile flakes and cook until fragrant, about 2 minutes. Stir in tomatoes and clam juice and cook until hot.
  4. Add clams, salt, and pepper. Cook, covered, until clams open, 4 to 5 minutes.
  5. Drain cooked pasta and put in a serving bowl.
  6. Pour clam sauce over pasta and sprinkle with parsley.
  7. Serve with cheese on the side.
