Ingredients

  • 0.8 teaspoon pepper black freshly ground
  • 0.3 cup butter ()
  • teaspoon coarse kosher salt 
  • teaspoon cumin seeds 
  • cups corn kernels fresh (cut from 9 large ears)
  • 0.3 cup optional: dill fresh chopped
  • cup herbs fresh assorted chopped (such as basil, cilantro, chives, and parsley)
  • 0.3 cup tarragon fresh chopped
  • large shallots chopped

Directions

  1. Melt butter in heavy large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add shallot and cumin seeds. Sauté until shallot is golden brown, about 4 minutes.
  3. Add corn kernels, 1 teaspoon coarse salt, and 3/4 teaspoon pepper. Sauté until corn is tender, about 5 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and mix inall herbs. Season to taste with salt.
  5. Transfer corn to bowl and serve.
