Perfectly suited for lunch, dinner, or as a main course, this savory treat highlights the versatility of extra-firm tofu, transforming it into an enticing masterpiece that your entire family will love.

This recipe serves up to 10 people, making it an ideal choice for gatherings, special occasions, or simply a weeknight family meal. With just 45 minutes of preparation, you can impress your guests with the rich, umami flavors derived from a luscious broth of dashi infused with savory bonito flakes, soy sauce, and mirin. The unique layer of toppings - a delightful red and white miso mixture, presents a visually appealing contrast that enhances the dish’s authenticity.

As the tofu sticks are broiled to perfection, they develop a beautiful caramelization, resulting in a crispy exterior while maintaining a soft and creamy interior. To elevate the dish further, a sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds and optional garnishes like shiso and yuzu peel add aromatic freshness, taking this dish to new heights.
