  • 1.5 cups brown sugar light packed
  • 0.5 cup butter cooled melted room temperature
  • large eggs 
  • tablespoons flour all-purpose
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar 
  • tablespoons milk 
  • 1.5 cups pecans 
  • 0.5 cup pecans chopped
  • tablespoon powdered sugar 
  • 14.1 oz pie crust dough refrigerated

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 32
  2. Fit piecrust into a 10-inch cast-iron skillet; sprinkle piecrust with powdered sugar.
  3. Whisk eggs in a large bowl until foamy; whisk in brown sugar and next 6 ingredients.
  4. Pour mixture into piecrust, and top with pecan halves.
  5. Bake at 325 for 30 minutes; reduce oven temperature to 300, and bake 30 more minutes. Turn oven off, and let pie stand in oven, with door closed, 3 hours.
  6. *Vanilla extract may be substituted.
