  •  bay leaves 
  • large celery stalks chopped
  • 1.8 cups great northern beans dried rinsed
  • medium garlic clove chopped
  • small onion chopped
  • small bell pepper diced red
  • ounces pork hock smoked
  • 3.3 cups water ()

Directions

  1. Stir 3 1/4 cups water and all remainingingredients in large slow cooker. Cover andcook on high until beans are tender, stirringoccasionally and adding more water if dry,about 4 1/2 hours.
  2. Remove ham hock.
  3. Cut offall meat; shred and return to beans. Seasonto taste with salt and pepper.
