  •  bay leaf 
  • tablespoons dijon mustard 
  • 0.5 teaspoon thyme leaves dried
  • cup cooking wine dry red
  •  garlic cloves minced
  • 0.3 cup catsup 
  • 0.5 teaspoon pepper 
  • tablespoons red wine vinegar 
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • 1.5 pound top round steak boneless thick lean ()

Directions

  1. Combine first 9 ingredients in a large heavy-duty zip-top plastic bag; add steak, and seal bag. Marinate in refrigerator 8 hours or overnight, turning bag occasionally.
  2. Prepare grill.
  3. Remove steak from bag, reserving marinade; discard bay leaf.
  4. Place marinade in a saucepan. Bring to a boil; remove from heat.
  5. Place steak on grill rack coated with cooking spray; cover and grill 5 minutes on each side or until desired degree of doneness, basting with reserved marinade.
  6. Cut steak diagonally across grain into thin slices.
