  • 0.1 teaspoon almond extract 
  • 0.5 cup almonds toasted finely chopped
  • tablespoons brown sugar 
  • medium pears cored peeled halved
  • 1.5 cups water 
  • 0.3 cup grape juice white

Equipment

Directions

  1. Place pears, cut side down, in an ungreased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish.
  2. Combine water and grape juice; pour over pears. Cover and bake at 350° for 35-45 minutes or until tender.
  3. Turn the pears over.
  4. Combine almonds, sugar and extract; mix well. Spoon into pear cavities.
  5. Bake, uncovered, for 5 minutes.
  6. Serve warm.
