Ingredients

  • tablespoons butter 
  • cups apples peeled thinly sliced
  • 0.3 cup brown sugar packed
  • teaspoons ground cinnamon 
  • 0.3 cup granulated sugar 
  • cup buttermilk 
  • tablespoon juice of lemon fresh
  • teaspoon vanilla 
  •  eggs 
  • tablespoon cinnamon 
  • serving maple syrup 
  • 1.5 cups frangelico

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 450°F. In oven, melt butter in 10-inch ovenproof or cast-iron skillet, about 2 minutes.
  2. Add apples, brown sugar and cinnamon; toss to coat apples. (Pan will be very hot.)
  3. Bake 2 minutes longer; stir.
  4. Bake 3 minutes longer; stir again. Reduce oven temperature to 400°F.
  5. In large bowl, beat Bisquick mix, granulated sugar, buttermilk, lemon juice, vanilla and eggs with whisk or fork until blended.
  6. Pour over apples.
  7. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar.
  9. Cut into wedges.
  10. Drizzle with syrup.
  11. Serve immediately.
