  • cups beef shredded cooked
  • 0.5 cup carrots shredded
  • 0.3 cup cilantro leaves fresh chopped
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth reduced-sodium
  • tablespoon rice wine vinegar 
  • cups romaine lettuce chopped
  • servings salt and pepper 
  •  scallions chopped
  • teaspoons sesame oil 
  • tablespoon sesame seed

Directions

  1. Watch how to make this recipe.
  2. Place sesame seeds in a small skillet and set pan over medium-low heat. Cook 1 to 3 minutes, until just golden brown, shaking the pan frequently to prevent burning.
  3. Remove from heat and set aside.
  4. Place lettuce in a large bowl (or divide onto individual dishes). Top lettuce with beef, carrots, scallions and cilantro.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together broth, vinegar and sesame oil. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
  6. Pour mixture over salad, and top with toasted sesame seeds.
  7. Serve immediately.
