Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup flour all-purpose
  • teaspoon salt 
  • teaspoon paprika 
  • 0.3 teaspoon pepper 
  • 0.3 cup butter 
  • lb chicken whole
  • cup tomato sauce 
  • 0.5 cup water hot
  • 0.3 cup juice of lemon 
  • teaspoon salt 
  • teaspoon sugar 
  • teaspoons paprika 
  • 0.5 teaspoon pepper 
  • tablespoon worcestershire sauce 
  • 0.5 cup onion finely chopped

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 425°F.
  2. Mix flour, salt, paprika and pepper.
  3. Sprinkle both sides of chicken with flour mixture.
  4. Melt butter in 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish in oven.
  5. Place chicken, skin sides down, in dish.
  6. Bake 45 minutes.
  7. Meanwhile, in 1-quart saucepan, heat all barbecue sauce ingredients to boiling, stirring occasionally. Keep warm.
  8. Drain and turn chicken; reduce oven temperature to 375°F. Spoon hot barbecue sauce over chicken.
  9. Bake 15 minutes longer or until juice of chicken is clear when thickest piece is cut to bone (170°F for breasts; 180°F for thighs and drumsticks).
