  •  banana peeled halved lengthwise
  • tablespoons candied ginger minced
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon 
  • 0.3 cup brown sugar light packed
  • tablespoons orange juice dark
  • tablespoons butter unsalted
  • pint whipped cream

Directions

  1. Melt butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add brown sugar, rum, cinnamon, ginger and 1/4 cup water. Cook, stirring, until sugar dissolves, about 1 minute.
  3. Add bananas and saut until softened, 2 minutes per side.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool for 2 to 3 minutes.
  5. Divide ice cream among 4 dessert bowls. Spoon bananas into bowls and drizzle sauce over each.
  6. Serve immediately.
