Ingredients

  • 9.4 oz roasted garlic mashed
  • cups water 
  • 1.5 cups milk 
  • tablespoons butter 
  • container barbecue sauce shredded refrigerated with beef (18)
  • ounces cheddar cheese shredded
  • cup fried onions (from 2.8-ounce can)

Equipment

  • aluminum foil

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F. Spray rectangular baking dish, 11x7x1 1/2 inches, with cooking spray.
  2. Make potatoes as directed on pouch, using water, milk and butter.
  3. Spread half of the potatoes over bottom of baking dish.
  4. Layer with beef, 1 cup of the cheese and remaining potatoes.
  5. Cover with aluminum foil and bake about 30 minutes or until hot.
  6. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup cheese.
  7. Sprinkle onions around edges of baking dish.
  8. Bake uncovered 3 to 4 minutes longer or until cheese is melted and onions are brown.
