If you’re the kind of person who lights up at the words “peppermint” and “chocolate,” Bavarian Mints are about to become your new signature treat. This recipe delivers that classic, cool minty bite wrapped in a rich, velvety milk chocolate base, with a touch of vanilla for warmth and depth. Think of them as little squares of holiday magic you can enjoy any time of year—perfect for gifting, sharing at gatherings, or sneaking from the fridge when you need something sweet and satisfying.
One of the best parts? These mints feel luxurious but are surprisingly simple to make. You’ll melt chocolate and butter into a smooth, glossy mixture, then whip in sweetened condensed milk and flavorings until everything turns irresistibly creamy. A bit of chilling and beating transforms the mixture into a fudge-like texture that sets beautifully in the pan, ready to be cut into neat little squares.
They’re also naturally gluten free, which makes them a thoughtful choice when you’re hosting or bringing a dessert to share—everyone can indulge without worry. With about 40 minutes from start to finish and a generous yield for up to eight people, Bavarian Mints are ideal for parties, potlucks, or as a charming side treat alongside coffee or dessert platters. If you love desserts that balance richness with refreshing flavor, this recipe will absolutely win you over.
