Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup beef broth dark flavored progresso®
  • pound sirloin beef tips boneless trimmed of fat
  • teaspoons caraway seeds 
  • 0.3 cup flour all-purpose gold medal®
  • 16 ounces onion whole frozen
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • 16 ounces sauerkraut bavarian-style undrained canned
  • tablespoon dijon mustard stone-ground
  • tablespoon vegetable oil

Directions

  1. Heat oil in 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Cook beef in oil about 5 minutes or until brown on all sides.
  2. Sprinkle with caraway seed and salt.
  3. Place beef in 5- to 6-quart slow cooker.
  4. Place onions, sauerkraut and 1/4 cup of the beer around beef.
  5. Cover and cook on Low heat setting 6 to 8 hours.
  6. Remove beef from cooker; cover to keep warm.
  7. Mix flour, remaining 1/4 cup beer and the mustard in small bowl; gradually stir into juices in cooker. Increase heat setting to High. Cover and cook 15 to 30 minutes or until slightly thickened.
  8. Serve beef with juices.
