Ingredients

  • cups broccoli florets 
  • teaspoons canola oil 
  • cup carrots chopped
  • tablespoon cornstarch 
  • teaspoons sesame oil dark
  • 0.3 cup green onions sliced
  • tablespoon hoisin sauce 
  • 0.3 cup lower-sodium soy sauce 
  • cup onion red vertically sliced
  • 3.5 ounce boil-in-bag rice long-grain
  • 12 ounce rump steak boneless cut into thin strips
  • 0.5 cup water

Directions

  1. Cook rice according to the package directions.
  2. Combine soy sauce, cornstarch, and hoisin in a medium bowl.
  3. Add beef; toss to coat.
  4. Heat a large skillet over high heat.
  5. Add oil to pan; swirl to coat.
  6. Remove beef, reserving marinade.
  7. Add beef to pan; cook 2 minutes or until browned, stirring occasionally.
  8. Remove beef from pan.
  9. Add broccoli and next 4 ingredients (through sesame oil) to pan; cook 4 minutes or until broccoli is crisp-tender, stirring occasionally.
  10. Add reserved marinade to pan; bring to a boil. Cook 1 minute.
  11. Add beef to pan; cook 1 minute or until thoroughly heated.
  12. Sprinkle with green onions.
  13. Serve over rice.
