Ingredients

  • 0.8 teaspoon pepper black freshly ground
  • 16 ounce crimini mushrooms 
  •  garlic clove minced
  • 12 ounces ground sirloin 
  • ounce hawaiian rolls toasted
  • 0.5 teaspoon hot sauce 
  • tablespoon blackstrap molasses 
  • tablespoon olive oil 
  • cup onion 
  • tablespoon oregano fresh minced
  • tablespoons red wine vinegar 
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt 
  • 0.5 cup tomato paste 
  • tablespoons worcestershire sauce

Directions

  1. Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add oil; swirl to coat.
  3. Add beef; cook for 4 minutes or until browned, stirring to crumble.
  4. While beef cooks, place mushrooms in a food processor; pulse 10 times or until finely chopped.
  5. Add mushrooms, onion, and garlic to pan; cook for 3 minutes or until onion is tender.
  6. Add tomato paste and next 5 ingredients (through salt) to pan; cook 5 minutes or until mushrooms are tender and liquid evaporates. Stir in pepper and hot sauce. Spoon about 1 cup beef mixture on bottom half of each bun; top with top halves of buns.
