Ingredients

  • cups broccoli chopped
  • tablespoons brown sugar 
  • tablespoon chili paste depending on your taste pref with garlic
  • cups spaghetti hot cooked uncooked ( 8 ounces pasta)
  • teaspoon sesame oil dark
  • pound flank steak trimmed thin
  • tablespoon ginger fresh minced peeled
  •  garlic clove minced
  • tablespoons soy sauce low-sodium
  • 1.5 cups onion vertically sliced
  • tablespoon oyster sauce 
  • tablespoon vegetable oil; peanut oil preferred

Directions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions, omitting salt and fat; drain.
  2. Combine pasta and sesame oil, tossing well to coat.
  3. While pasta cooks, heat peanut oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the ginger and garlic; saut 30 seconds.
  5. Add broccoli and onion; saut 3 minutes.
  6. Add steak, and saut 5 minutes or until done.
  7. Add pasta mixture, soy sauce, and remaining ingredients; cook 1 minute or until lo mein is thoroughly heated, stirring constantly.
