Ingredients

  • tablespoon brown sugar packed
  • tablespoon coarse salt 
  • 12 oz beer 
  • lb chicken wings fresh thawed ()
  • 1.5 teaspoons onion powder 
  • 1.5 teaspoons garlic powder 
  • 1.5 teaspoons paprika 
  • 0.3 cup butter 
  • 0.3 cup hot sauce red

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F. Line cookie sheet with foil.
  2. In large bowl, beat brown sugar, salt and beer with whisk.
  3. Add chicken wings; toss gently to coat. Refrigerate 30 minutes to brine.
  4. In large resealable food-storage plastic bag, mix onion powder, garlic powder and paprika.
  5. Drain chicken; pat dry with paper towels. Discard brine.
  6. Add chicken to bag; toss until evenly coated.
  7. Place chicken on cookie sheet.
  8. In 1-quart saucepan, melt butter. Stir in pepper sauce.
  9. Heat to a simmer.
  10. Pour mixture over wings.
  11. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until juice of chicken is clear when thickest part is cut to bone (165°F). If desired, shake extra pepper sauce over wings after baking.
