  • 0.5 cup beer 
  • 0.5 cup butter 
  • 0.5 cup celery finely chopped
  • cups chicken broth (from 32-oz carton)
  • 0.1 teaspoon ground pepper red (cayenne)
  • cup milk 
  • 0.3 cup onion finely chopped
  • 0.1 teaspoon pepper 
  • lb sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • cup frangelico 
  • cup frangelico

Directions

  1. In 4-quart Dutch oven, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Add carrots, celery and onion; cook about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until crisp-tender.
  3. In large bowl, mix broth, Bisquick mix, pepper and red pepper until smooth. Gradually stir into vegetable mixture.
  4. Heat to boiling over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Boil and stir 1 minute.
  5. Stir in milk and cheese.
  6. Heat until cheese is melted. Stir in beer.
