  • cup butter softened
  •  eggs 
  • 2.3 cups flour all-purpose gold medal®
  • cups granulated sugar 
  • 0.5 cup juice of lemon fresh
  • teaspoons lemon zest grated
  • tablespoons powdered sugar

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F.
  2. In medium bowl mix butter, 2 cups of the flour and 1/2 cup of the granulated sugar. Press into the bottom of ungreased 13x9-inch pan.
  3. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until center is set and edges just begin to brown.
  4. In medium bowl, mix remaining 1/4 cup flour and remaining 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar with whisk.
  5. Add eggs, lemon peel and lemon juice; stir with whisk until well combined.
  6. Pour over partially baked crust.
  7. Bake 18 to 22 minutes longer or until center is set and edges are golden brown. The bars will firm up as they cool. Cool 1 hour.
  8. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. For bars, cut into 6 rows by 4 rows.
