Ingredients

  • 0.3 cup agave nectar light
  • cups ice cubes 
  • 0.5 cup juice of lime fresh generous ()
  •  lime wedges 
  • 12  mint leaves plus 4 mint sprigs fresh for garnish
  • cup gold rum dark (not ) (such as Mount Gay)
  • servings sugar (for coating rims of glasses)

Directions

  1. Place enough sugar on small plate to reachdepth of 1/4 inch. Run lime wedge aroundrim of 4 Martini glasses to moisten. Dip rimsinto sugar on plate. Blend rum, lime juice,and 1/3 cup sugar in blender until sugardissolves.
  2. Add 4 cups ice; blend until slushyand almost smooth, adding up to 1 cup moreice, if desired.
  3. Add 12 mint leaves and blenduntil small green flecks appear.
  4. Pour intoprepared glasses.
  5. Garnish with mint sprigs.
