  • 0.5 teaspoon pepper black freshly ground
  • 1.5 ounces cheese blue crumbled at room temperature
  • tablespoons chives fresh finely chopped
  • teaspoon kosher salt 
  • tablespoons butter unsalted at room temperature (1 stick)

Directions

  1. Place the butter in a medium bowl and mash it with a rubber spatula until it’s very spreadable.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and mix until thoroughly combined.
  3. Transfer the butter mixture to a sheet of plastic wrap. Shape it into a log by rolling it up in the plastic wrap, then twist the ends to seal.
  4. Place in the refrigerator to harden before using, at least 30 minutes.
