  •  bay leaves 
  • 4.5 pounds long beef short ribs 
  • ounce button mushrooms sliced
  • 14.5 ounce canned tomatoes diced canned
  • servings coarse kosher salt 
  • servings top 
  • cups cooking wine dry red
  •  garlic cloves peeled
  • 0.5 cup onion finely chopped
  •  parsley sprigs fresh italian

Directions

  1. Sprinkle ribs with coarse salt and pepper.
  2. Place in even layer in slow cooker.
  3. Add next7 ingredients, cover, and cook on low heatuntil meat is tender, about 8 hours.
  4. Using slotted spoon, transfer ribs toserving bowl. Discard parsley and bay leaves.Spoon fat off top of sauce and pour sauceover ribs.
  5. Serve with bread.
