  • pounds broccolini rinsed cut into 2- to 3-inch lengths
  • servings kosher salt 
  • large garlic clove chopped
  • tablespoons olive oil extra virgin extra-virgin divided
  • teaspoons sherry vinegar 
  • 1.5 teaspoons paprika smoked
  • 0.3 cup water 
  • 0.5 cup almonds whole coarsely chopped

Directions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in heavy large skilletover medium-high heat.
  2. Add almonds. Stiruntil lightly browned, 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Addgarlic and paprika.
  4. Sprinkle with coarsesalt; sauté 1 minute.
  5. Transfer to small bowl.
  6. Add remaining 2 tablespoons oil toskillet.
  7. Add broccolini; sprinkle with coarsesalt.
  8. Add 1/3 cup water. Cover and boil untilcrisp-tender and still bright green, about4 minutes.
  9. Pour off any water. Stir in almondmixture. Season to taste with coarse saltand pepper.
  10. Mix in 1 to 2 teaspoons vinegar.
  11. Transfer broccolini to bowl and serve.
